Album Security

myPhotoSuite provides some options to prevent unauthorized access to your photos.

The first one is the possibility not to show a link to a particular album on the page with all your albums. To view photos from such an album one has to use a direct link. So, the access is granted only to those who know the link.

For example, there are some albums: "Me", "Me and Mary in LA", "Me and Lucy in NY".

Let us assume, Lucy and Mary are not supposed to know about each other’s existence. The problem is resolved if we hide the two albums on the page with all existing albums. To do this, we put a corresponding flag on the albums settings pages (by default the option is switched off).

As a result, the albums are not shown on the page with all existing albums and to view their contents, one has to know direct links.

Now we can send a direct link to the album "Me and Mary in LA" to Mary, and to the album "Me and Lucy in NY" – to Lucy.

The second option to protect published photos is to set a password for an album. To view photos one has to enter the password.

You can set a password on the album settings page.

It is possible to use the options both separately and collectively.
